I don’t know who owns (or controls) this car. But, as someone who occasionally uses the Tesla charging cable, I have a request.
Last night, I was at the space when a Nissan Leaf was charging at one cable. I own a Tesla and was trying to charge as well.
The problem is the leaf was pulled in to the right side of the area to plug in, and because of this car under the cover, there was no way to either pull into the area around the second charger.
I parked behind the leaf, and had to stretch the cord to it’s limit to be able to plug in myself. I had to leave a note on the car saying “Call me and I will move out of your way”.
To make things worse, the car that was in the way, is obviously not in running/usable condition.
I’m not objecting to the project car being in the parking lot, but, can it be put in a different parking space so as not to block the otherwise empty EV car connections?
Simply put, the parking design is not ideal for two cars to charge simultaneously, but even if it was moved NEXT TO the wall, at least the space it is in could be used (and the cord is long enough most people could make it work).
It’s funny, in the EV (Electric Vehicle) world, there is a term for this. It’s called “Being ICED”, meaning your blocked by an “Internal Combustion Engine” vehicle from being able to access a charging port.
I’m not trying to start any kind of flame war here, nor am I trying to make a big deal about it. I’m just asking “Please, if you control this vehicle, can you move it out of the way of the EV chargers? Or at a minimum, next to the wall so the space it’s in now can be used?”
