“WEBENCH® Medical AFE Designer enables system designers to explore the functionality and flexibility of the ADS1293 low-power, 3-channel, 24-bit Analog Front End for biopotential measurements. The easy-to-use tool speeds system development and reduces design time. Within the tool, each block of the ADS1293 is clickable and opens the setup necessary to program registers block by block in just a matter of minutes.”
Some kind of front end for analog sensors (AFE = Analog Front End). Apparently it’s some kind of software package to allow for programming/accessing many different types of sensors (temperature, pressure, load cell, chemical, toxic and non-toxic gases, etc).
No idea why it’s posted up, but then I’m not active in Science stuff, so no idea what they’re working on.
Science Committee is working on several biomedical projects, including the prosthetic arm. I would like for us to get into medical monitoring and imaging, and this software looked interesting. It’s one application of several offered by TI. From the parent Web page, you can find the Medical AFE Designer under, “Signal Chain and Clock Design.” I know how much Makers like making clocks!
