So you’re on board with letting people bring in known carcinogens, mutagens, and fire hazards against general DMS policy and have them used in a general open work area. Sounds fantastic.

If we were to pass a blanket rule forbidding anything hazardous here, many committees simply wouldn’t exist any longer. We have rules for a reason, they are not difficult.

We do have rules against the storage of such items in personal storage, be it in bins or on the shelves in the warehouse areas. Those were put into place when I was involved in logistics. You wouldn’t believe the aerosols and flammables we found in bins we pulled from members who left.
