Printer Suggestions

So I have a friend who wants to buy her 13 year old son a 3D printer for Christmas. She was thinking something between $200-300. She wants something that he can learn using and grow into. All I’m familiar with are my personal Prusa and the Poly Printers. That’s out of her price range.

What are some good 3D printer suggestions that I can send her within her budget? I’m sure she’d be willing to go up to $350 if there’s a jump in quality at that price. I don’t know where to begin since there are so many options these days.

Are there any good beginner/intermediate printers in that price range that you recommend?

There are a lot of us who have these. They even put them on-sale with a $100 off coupon occasionally.
I have a couple and my brother had one and they work really well. They are durable and very easy to work with.

I’ll second the Creality brand. Inexpensive and very durable.
