Pondering a nice dinner (to take home) in the general Denton area?

If you live somewhere (relatively) convenient to Krum, TX (north of Denton), my friends Kathleen and Matt own a catering company called “Extreme Catering.” They have just launched a weekend pick-up dinner promotion entitled “Curbside Dive 'n Dine.” A way to pay the rent and keep their staff employed. The menu for Saturday sounds muy delicious:

If I could figure out how to get the food back to Garland without going stone-cold enroute, I’d drive to get some. They are that good. And Matt is a kindred smartass spirit.

A small cooler, or insulated bag might help you keep it warm, or ask them for recommended warming procedure.

Get one of the gray plastic containers from Walmart, it’s around $5, and a couple of blankets.(I use my moving blankets).
Fold one of the blankets in half and put a cross the top of the container without the lid on and set the food in the center so that the blanket almost wrapped around it when you set it inside the container.
Take your second blanket and place on top then snap the lid on it.
I have used that method to transport hot food and frozen food alike and even in the middle of the summer I’ve had frozen food stay frozen for up to 3 hours and in the winter I’ve had hot food stay hot for longer.
