Poll: new t-shirt size data required

My last poll was a while back and we have grown a ton, its time for a new size range for our shirts.
this way we can buy the right amount of sizes and not have a bunch of leftovers of one size.
Please tell as many members as you can to answer this poll.

the red robo-pegasus is our newest tee design, the makersloth tee is available in limited runs or you can ask to have some made (the screen is under the table)

I will be making more shirts thursday night 9/17 if you want to come up to the space and help pull some shirts. (help is appreciated, doing ~70 shirts on saturday ended up with me not moving much sunday.)

All tees are $15 and can be paid in cash or paypal above the shirt shelves in the front lobby.

I find that my life would be more complete with a makersloth T-shirt.

So, I only wear Tall sized shirts. Not trying to be contrarian, just honest.

I concur, Tall shirts are not represented enough. Not a deal breaker for me, but I have had shirts that fit between a full T shirt and a crop top after a few washes

I would love to see a few toddler sizes. But that might be a rare request-I’ve already talked it over with Pearce. Toddler M is aydens size but he will be a L toddler in about 2 minutes I’m sure.

Must. Have. Makersloth.

For any of the particular cut shirts that people want, please bring them up Thursday and we can pull them. At this rate its just easier to have a base run of standard t-shirts, otherwise they sit forever.

I would have voted XLT were it available, but XL is generally satisfactory so long as it doesn’t shrink much.

This sounds like the best plan!

'n it turns out so well, because you can choose a shirt that works best for you!

Here’s a pic of Evan wearing the shirt that he made for himself in a kids size 6-8 (that I’d brought in for this), in the process of making a shirt for his brother in a kids size 10-12 (that I also brought in for this)… Both shirts fit the boys great! Thanks @PearceDunlap for helping (letting him “make” the shirts…  )

Lisa,

I noticed at the Open House that Pearce is REALLY good with kids. This is another great photo which captures the spirit of DMS.

Bumping this post to the top.

Looks like I underestimated the mediums

XL fit me fine rather than the usual XLT. And I applied the dye myself!

Pearce,

Looks like I underestimated the mediums

If it is any comfort, EVERYONE DOES. I have never understood this phenomena, but nearly every time I have found some cool shirt in a retail store and they have run low - invariably only the XXXXXL and S are left.

For once, I would love to see only M left.

Nothing against you, of course, (and you are obviously much more agile in terms of responding to what is needed) but I wish the big commercial retailers would finally get a goddamn grip on the modified bell curves of size distributions / statistics of supply and demand. They are supposed to understand the clothing business model, right?

Hmm… interestingly, as a XXXXXL man myself, I am able only to find S and M (giggity) and always wonder “who the hell even WEARS a S or M!?! Everyone I know wants at least a L cause we like em baggy!” (Or in my case, am a fatass and like em baggy) Not being especially well-versed in human psychology I don’t know it, but I’m pretty sure this perception phenomenon has a name…

Oh. And I agree that DMS (Pearce) is doing a great job responding to the needs of the clientele!

Try finding pants with a 36" inseam any place other than a “big and tall” store where they’ll gleefully charge at least double the going rate.

The other line is always faster.

Thirded for the Tall sizes…
As far as actual sizing goes though, what type of shirts are they? I wear different sizes depending on the brand tshirt… seriously, anywhere between a M and XL…

Also, how would I learn to screenprint? Is there a class or could someone teach me?

I paid for a shirt, but haven’t seen any LARGE Gray with Red pegasus logos on the shelves. The XLG were just too big for me to wear. There’s about 3 of those left.

Not sure what went wrong but the ink is disappearing off of my shirts after only 2 washings in cold water. It’s happening on the same section of both logos so I’m not sure what that means from a screen printing problem diagnosis standpoint…
