Its going to use the first block of listed options as a poll. The rest stay text.

copied and pasted straight from discourse/plugins/poll at main Ā· discourse/discourse Ā· GitHub and it didnt work like it should have…

I was just able to change the text as well for the buttons.

thats for the plugin, it looks like the site has it enabled now so you dont need as much crap

@AlexRhodes found a legit bug, the plugin is ignoring the [poll] tag. I’ve submitted a bug report.

weird thing, you can change your vote after seeing the results. not sure if that is great for an accurate poll, as follower bias may be an issue.

i was just thinking about that, you can edit the options too. and you dont have to be a member.

we might want to try the plugin for polls and see if we like it better. i know it has a lockout on edits and revoting

There’s another polls plugin? I only found the one that’s built-in.

ill have to find it again, i abandoned it when this one looked good.

someone wrote one when they had it disabled for testing and it had some good features

Cool, Its nice having these options and I’m enjoying the flexibility so far.

I need a multiselection poll, so voters could vote for more than one option. Do we have the capability of doing that?

I don’t think it has the ability. One option would be to start a topic and have a reply for each ā€œoptionā€. Then have people ā€œlikeā€ the replies they are voting for.

Thanks. I guess that could work, but I’ve compiled a list of about forty topics that people have asked for in previous discussions. That would be a lot of replies!

Another idea would be to create a google form for it.
