Poetry for Makers

I am not much a literature person but sometimes poems/prose are the best way to communicate complex imprecise emotional ideas. To that end I would love to hear about y’all favorite poems! My favorite poem is “The Sons of Martha” by Rudyard Kipling.

Frost, The Road Not Taken

At first reading many years ago I took this as a being the life of an artist, always choosing the less taken path. But Frost wrote this as a tongue in cheek poke at his indecisive friend. I’ve thought about how over the years I’ve had multiple projects that I couldn’t seem to finish and I come back to this poem over and over as a reminder to stay focused in my art.
