If there is any extra of this ply, even a few scrap pieces, I could use it! Please and thanks!
Usually not free unless in the trash, but I will be working in the Woodshop Annex & Laser area this afternoon and I might have some extra plywood, depending on your needs.
Thanks! It’s a pile of bendy ply that’s one one of the tables. We just left for the day, but will be back tomorrow afternoon. Scraps, or leftovers, would be great. Also happy to buy for donation. Thanks!
Is it the material posted here? More Gulfstream Aerospace Donations
Everyone go ahead and take what you want.
You might want to make a similar comment on the Gulfstream post if some of that is unavailable to members right now.
Yep! That’s it! Thanks for the info on the other thread. Didn’t see it.
Good to know! Glad I checked Talk first.
At this point, please take all you want.
It has been my experience that materials like this when donated don’t really have a proper home. Witness the plastic outside of machine shop. The same can occur in almost any committee area. Granted the wish to use it for teaching classes, or to reserve it for committee use is a noble endeavor, but space and storage requirements are always at a premium. When it was offered to us, the Gulfstream planned to put it into the landfill. @USprofessional and I took almost a whole day to collect it and place it at DMS. My only hope is that someone can get some good use from it.
In the past the leather samples, corian samples, veneer samples and even the hardwood samples I’ve collected from, Gulfstream have been problematic even on the freebie shelf. I completely understand the limitations.
My hope id that 1) somebody can get some use from them and 2) if somebody makes something that they post a photo, so I can send it to Leanne at Gulfstream.
The reality is that it is a lot of veneer. Please everyone, take as much as you want. Make something from it.
Thanks so much for donating this and taking the time to get it and bring it in. I grabbed some tonight. Appreciate the thoughtfulness!
