Plastic Pegboard vs Wall Control vs Slatboard

It’s time that I organize my electronics desk and my home office.

In my home office, I’m thinking plastic pegboard vs nice looking Wall Control. Any thoughts? Heaviest thing it might hold is a drill, wire spool and a glass of crown…

In my garage, I need to decide if I want to commit to Pegboard or Slat Wall…or both. I noticed the space has slat wall, but I’ve never used it before. Is slat wall conducive to have directly over my workbench with all my wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets and small tools?

You need to look at both initial cost AND the cost / availability of the various hangers you need. Peg is used more often for tools, while slat is a retail display item, so I would bet that there are less workable options for the slat and that they are more expensive also.

Wall Control is on sale on Woot today. 3 Panel starter set is only $90 instead of $130. Does anyone have thoughts on Metal vs Plastic vs Regular Pegboard?
