Photographing Artwork - small 3D pieces specifically

I was wondering if there is a lighting/background setup at the space and if anyone has any interest teaching a class on this (and/or helping me). I have a nice camera, I have a photography background, and I even know how to properly document artwork…but I haven’t had to get professional photos of my jewelry up until now and most of my experience has been in 2D pieces/10 years ago/I never really had to set everything up because it was always there for student use.

I bought a small lightbox and lights for use in my apartment but it’s application is still very limited if I want to get pieces off of the bottom of it.

There should be a small setup that uses hot lights. It contained two light stands, with lights and umbrellas as well as some back drop material. The last I knew it was stored in Creative Arts.

I could offer a class next week. Is there a good day/time that works for
you?

Weekends work best, followed by Friday eve/night, but if a different evening works better for you I’ll make it work. I work days and as long as traffic isn’t horrible I can make it to the space by 7ish most nights.

Saturday 2/13 I am teaching a jewelry class from 2-5ish, but any time before/after works.

I would be interested in participating in your class also, Steve. My schedule is pretty wide open.

Count me in, Fri or the weekend would be great, just not Valentine weekend, since I have a show. I REALLY, REALLY need this!

Thank

We (David and I) moved all the photo equipment over to digital arts - we felt it was best to be utilized in that space with it’s ease of space flexibility. Check with them for everything please. @Photomancer

Plus they teach photo classes and use of the software to manipulate them. They are the much better resource at the Sace for this.
