Perspectives: Kind of sums up Talk at times

This was in an article from an email from LinkedIn, so some of you may have seen it.

But I think it shows where some of issues on Talk come from. Sometimes there isn’t a set answer.

Those two look like they’d be pleased to change places, possibly in full awareness that they’re trading one set of problems for another.

This sums up talk at times too…

Recent weather activity prompted me to look up exactly what they mean by “flood stage.”

I found this: http://www.weather.gov/aprfc/terminology

As bad as it may get for us down here, we do not have to be concerned about the water being deep enough to float blocks of ice…

Flood Stage - an established gage height for a given location above which a rise in water surface level begins to create a hazard to lives, property, or commerce. The issuance of flood advisories or warnings is linked to flood stage. Not necessarily the same as bankfull stage

Tuesday night this week,Valley View just South of the Space was closed due to flooding. It was localized but it reach “Flood Stage” not passable by cars. When I went home on 635 going West you could see reflections off of the submerged areas - not clearly, but never seen that before along the freeway. That’s a really low place and the freeway sort creates a dam effect I suppose.

Interesting link to the terminology.
