Parent & Child Fused Glass Pendant class
Project Class
This class is limited in size
Each adult registered may each bring 1 child age 7 or older.
No walk-in’s Please
We will be using the microwaves kilns in this class
Details:
• Discussing the different types of COE glass
• Different types of firing schedules, and how the temperatures effect the glass -tac and full fuse
• Microwave kiln safety
• A glass cutting demo will be done but, since children will be taking the class we will be using random shape precut glass.
• All glass for this class will have the edges light grounded to remove the sharp edges
• Each child will also have a tweezers to use to lessen the amount of glass they need to touch.
• You and your child will each complete a pendant
• Please bring 2 standard pot holders – old used one are best.
• Class cost is $2.00 total
• Parents/ Adult bring a child will be responsible for that child conduct during class time. No moving about the class room or playing.
• Children will not be allowed to handle the microwave kilns since they will be hot.
Cooling time for the pendant may exceed the class time. You may wait, or I will be happy to put them someplace, so they can be picked up later.
Fathers and son let’s make a pendant for mom, or grandma!
Mothers and daughters how about making a pendant to swap with each other?
Aunts and Uncles how about some quality time with your favorite niece or nephew?
Each adult will be cleared to use the microwave kilns after class is completed. Sorry, children will only be able to use the microwave kilns during class since the glass will be pre-grounded to remove sharp edges, and kilns are hot when in use.
