I don’t know anything about Kilns, but I figured I would pass along this auction. If someone is interested, I have an account and could make a bid for you. The auction closes in 9 hours.
I went through the auction and one item stood out as a need for DMS.
They have a 4 drawer fire proof filing cabinet, missing the key. @Photomancer was telling me yesterday that he wanted to pick one of these up for DMS. Hard to beat $25, warning it weights a TONS!!! We could get the lock replaced by a locksmith and would save the very expensive price I heard David saying they cost. 6 hours remaining so hurry up David.

Take a ride over to Brookhaven College and pull one out of the dumpsters on the West side of the tennis courts…
He isn’t looking for just any filing cabinet, he wants a Fire Proof one. I offer a regular one for free already. No way you would want to pull a 600lb filing cabinet out of a dumpster. Pay the $25 bucks to save that labor.
you can probably get the lock number off the lock and order a key from easykeys.com.
Speaking of locked file cabinets for sale
Did y all hear about this?
Yeah, pull the drawers out of the filing cabinets and see what has fallen down inside it. I bought an index card file cabinet from a thrift store and found a 1 1/4" thick stack of account cards from a bank - full of names, account numbers, addresses, SSNs, and more on them.
I took them back to the bank and they gave me a crisp $50 bill for returning them. That was a nice surprise that paid for 2/3rds of the cabinet cost. I didn’t want the responsibility of disposing the items and told the bank all I wanted was for them to update their disposal policies to pull drawers and look for lost items before disposing of them.
I really dislike the “unknown condition” part of the description. I kinda gave up reading the description after that. The pic doesn’t show a controller, so it may have to be hand-fired. Thanks for the thought, but I’m thinking No Thanks. $200 would be great if it were guaranteed working, and a more modern kiln.
Removing the plug is often done to prevent someone from using something damaged.
