Panel saw for new shop

I believe that woodshop was wanting to get a panel saw for the new shop for breaking down sheet goods and saw this for sale. Not sure if it’s too soon, but thought I would mention it since it looks to be a great deal. You just add a circular saw to it.

If @Team_Woodshop wants to buy it, it’s right down the road from me so I could haul it to space.

Here’s a better one @PearceDunlap found on FB market place that includes the saw for $500: Redirecting...

Includes the saw. Here’s a vendor for it where some details are broken down: https://mmvic.com.au/product/c4-vertical-panel-saw-1270mm-crosscut/

Did DMS buy the panel saw? The post was taken down.

I’m donating it

EDIT:

Forgot to add, may need help getting it. Working out details but will likely Friday or Saturday to pick it up.

Bump

If someone can help pickup the unit to bring to DMS it would be greatly appreciated. It’s located in Coppell

Is it broken down or is that in 1 piece?

Still one piece. According to the owner it’s more effort to try and resquare it after breaking down and reassembling than to move it as-is since it should hold its square

Assuming this is correct, at ~260lbs and a tad over 4x6’, is there loading assistance? Preferably of a hydraulic or mechanical nature, though a couple people would work…

if all else fails I snag a penske.

I’ve got a long bed F-150 and am available all day tomorrow and Saturday (with a bit of notice).

Awesome!

I’ll be dropping you a line

You rock :metal:

Ooohhh, a new shiny.

FYI its an 11 Amp Milwaukee on it. It’s got some whoopie in its cushion

Will it handle a 5’ x 5’ sheet?

After making one of those winged miter saw stations using only a circular saw and clamp down straight edge, I’m getting a little weepy at the sight of this. Thanks to all that made it happen.

Is this setup and operational?

I do not believe so at this time. Not sure what the timing is to get this operational [not part of that planning group], but would suspect it might be a little while [find a place for it, electrical connection, ect.].

The easiest way to break down plywood [other than the CNC] would either be the track saw or getting some help on the table saw [two people make it a lot easier].

@IanLee is there a reason people can’t use it sooner? We already don’t require extra training for the track saw or circular saws overall. The panel saw is pretty easy to setup
