This question may answer itself but do all Raised Cove bits require a router table or is there a way to use them safely with a handheld router?
Also is there a router fence for the router table at DMS? I cannot remember from training?

Large diameter bits are not safe to use with a handheld router.
The router table does have a fence. It’s not a precision fence (like an Incra) so you’ll need to tweak it to get your distance set.
panel bits are quite wide. the opening in the fence is not wide enough to use with panel bits. Fortunately, they usually have a roller bearing. So the table is required but not the fence. cheers!
One could clamp sacrificial wood on either side of the fence opening to make a fence with a wider opening. I don’t recall whether our router fence has holes which would allow one to screw the wood in place in lieu of clamps. If so, that’d be a more secure way to go.
Definitely use the router table though.
And be sure to slow the speed of the panel raising bit WAY down. They are not safe to run at higher speeds.
