I’ve been working on a MDF arcade cabinet project and am getting to the sanding / finishing part of my build. I wanted to make sure I had info on painting in the shop correct.
Is it correct to assume that regular brush painting is allowed and spray painting is against the rules? Or is all painting just not allowed in the shop? Curious about this, I have no problem moving the cab elsewhere but doing it at the space would be really helpful.

Brush painting is allowed. Spraying solvent based paints definitely not allowed. I cannot say on spraying water-based paints but since we don’t have a booth, this probably falls into the category of less-than-excellent.
Water based in airbrush, ok. Water based in spray gun, not ok. It’s a matter of volume and amount of overspray generated.

So I’m working with MDF and will probably need to use an oil based paint. If I work with brush would that be allowed in the shop?
Brush painting is always allowed. It’s spray painting that gets slammed.
