I couldnt find it in the supply closet. Wondering if its in a different location.
I don’t think shop towels are stored in the supply closet because I don’t think those are DMS general supplies. AFAIK, they are committee-provided.
But I could be wrong …
This is correct, currently shop towels are per committee.
Vincent and I were trying to put together a list of all the committees that used them in order to get them added to the logistics order/be part of the supplies closet, but I don’t know whatever happened of that.
Automotive and Machine Shop. Those are the only ones I’ve noticed.
Laser was too, And then I believe 3D Fab was asking about them, at which point we kind of were wondering if it maybe made more sense to buy in bulk for the space as a whole but -shrug-

The shop towels in the machine shop are less absorbent and not as good for cleaning up liquids. Conversely, the shop towels in the OP get torn up if you use them around metal burrs. The machine shop towels are are not something you use once and throw away, more like a handkerchief you can tear into strips.
Cleaning up liquid is what the oil dry (kitty litter) stuff is for in automotive. Unless you are just talking about wiping down parts?
Sorry, that’s my FS, been busy as of late. They’ll be be refilled sometime early this weekend.

Hey sam, just replaced the towels!
Im so sorry about completely forgetting to replace them before leaving. I couldnt make it out here yesterday too…but theyre back now!
