Openings Available in Lathe Turned Bottle Stopper Class

I am teaching a class on turning bottle stoppers on our wood lathes next Monday, June 10th. Its only $7 and you will leave with a Spectraply (dyed baltic birch) topped stainless steel bottle stopper. 2 spots still available as of now. The picture below is an example of some of the stoppers I have turned.

I am trying to sign up but it keeps saying I need to take the basics class which I have (although, just last night )

@talkers are you able to check on lathe basics status for Laura?

Try again now.

I marked the Active Directory permissions for those attending the class.

I can start saving you some wood for blanks. Mostly dark/mesquite/walnut if you like. I have been gearing up my business and will have a lot of cutoffs that are perfect, my minimum standard, for bottle stoppers.

That would he awesome Jeff! Thabk you. I know that mesquite turns so beautifully, I really appreciate it. For the stopper blanks anything in the 1.5"-2" square by about 2"-2.5" long works perfectly.

No prob. I will look through my stuff tomorrow.
Got to get everyone addicted to mesquite. The only true wood. LOL

Ryan,

I cut your blanks the wrong size/ Sorry. I will cut some better ones.

Size does matter…LOL Maybe you can make dice out of them.

Hey thanks Jeff, I thought some looked a little small but i think some will turn nicely. Dice would be fun!
