[Now Working] One way lathe is down 2024/04/25

Can’t turn on one way lathe. It is cool and had not been used in 45 minutes
@Team_Woodshop

There is a known problem that when the Oneway is run under ~300 rpm for any length of time, it will over heat and stop. You have to wait 10min to an hour before it will restart. Don’t know why or what the fix is (I’m not an electrical engineer) other than don’t run it under 300 for very long.

Don’t know if that is what happened today or not.

Also - I have seen where people did not realize the estop button was not pulled out. Don’t know if that is the case today.

Anyway, Jeff reported that it working as of 6:51 this evening.

Yes I have run into that problem. The motor overheats and it comes back on with time. The motor was cool and it had been a hour since it had been used.

Jeff tried a few minutes ago and it is now working.

It may not be the motor - It maybe an inverter or something else in the grey box that is overheating - but that is a wild guess, once again not an ee - I barely know how to plug in a cord to a wall socket.

You know one way supports their lathes really well. I am not sure if DMS owns it but I would call oneway and ask them what’s up with it
