One small step for 3D fab, one giant leap for the Mendel90

We finally sat down and fixed some issues on the Mendel90, loaded the firmware, and did the initial calibration. It made its first successful print! A 20mm cube (which calipered 20.2mm). I call this a big accomplishment since I have been slacking on this printer since I started the RepRap class almost a year ago in February. Definitely a shout out to everyone that participated in the class, and a few others that really helped finish it: @thetazzbot, @hasbridge, and John

No word yet on the next RepRap build class, I’m thinking of having individual classes like calibration, reprap types and design, how 3D printers work, etc. I especially would like to have someone teach a class on building and calibrating a Kossel because of our track record of building delta printers.

Fantastic job, and the red/black motif is really cool.

Sorry I couldn’t make it for the launch party, but I’m glad to see closure on the project :slightly_smiling:

I just replaced the ramps board on my mini Kossel with the Duet board. She’s back in business!

Do you have a source for the duet? Does it work with Marlin?
