One-on-one laser training at night

Good afternoon,
I was told last night to shoot an email to the attention of Luke Olson
and/or Lisa Selk to inquire about one-on-one training to be able to use the
laser. I’d wait to see when the classes are going to be again, but I work
odd nights so attending a regular class is not so easy for me. Is there
anyone available tonight that’d be willing to do one-on-one training with
me? The next time I’d be available isn’t until next Thursday or Friday
because of work.

Thanks,

Mr Lorin Cox, RN, BSN

Hi Lorin (@lorcointx)!

I’m sorry I didn’t see this earlier…

I didn’t make it out to the 'Space tonight (er, Thursday night). If you are still there, reply ASAP and I can come by for a few minutes. If not, I will make a point to come by after work next Thursday and/or Friday (probably both - baring any emergency, etc…).

Hey lisa,
I didn’t end up making it up there tonight, either. Thursday night would
be great, if you’re willing and able.

Sounds good! Let’s say 11 PM - that will give me enough time to wrap up at work and get past any traffic that might be happening (with the construction on 635, it can take quite a while - or no time at all… depending on what’s closed and if I notice in time to re-route… )

If you get me certified as a trainer, I could help.

You are. And are written down on the wiki…

Hey Lisa, I’m by the laser whenever you’re available. Thanks!

Hey just as an aside while we’re kind of related: who, if anyone, should we contact if one of the machines go down? Earlier today the lasersaur couldn’t contact the server for whatever reason. I couldn’t figure out how to restart it myself, and Google and the like worked, so I guess it was something to do with the server the lasersaur itself hosts. But the machine itself was kaput until it got set back up (which may have never happened, I don’t know).

@agvet, try rotating the red knob on the side of the lasersaur, I noticed yesterday that it sticks a little. The lights inside the lasersaur should be on if it’s up and running.
