Old computer programs or at least their boxes

Listed below are the labels on about 8’ of shelf of older software mostly PC, which I will give away or dump soon. What I won’t do is repeatedly open boxes to see what is inside. If someone will come and get all or part, great. I live in Old East Dallas not far from the White Rock Lake dam.

I’ll be glad to come buy to pick up the donation. Would need to know how many boxes and much cubic space? (ie does it fit in the backseat of a ford escort or the back of a pick up truck)

Likely the backseat of a ford escort with careful stacking. The boxes side-by-side are 9 feet by 10" by 8" by rough tape measure. I should be available this three day weekend, but definitely tied up Tuesday afternoon and evening. 214-334-6645 is my cell

hmm… I’ll have to get the Lyft Lux SUV ($88) any way we could meet up at the space for the pickup?

I don’t have a vehicle. I really have to have somebody come by here and get the stuff.

Righty oh, I’ll check around to see if I can get a car arranged and get back to you.

Thank you (“at least 20 characters” ABC DEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ.)

My office is in deep ellum. If this helps DMS I have a truck. Please let me know if you need help getting them to DMS. PM me and I’ll give you my number and arrange pickup and delivery.

Not sure how to do a private message, info in summary. Not sure how really hidden that is or if you can see it.

Summary

[email protected], cell = 214-334-6645

just sent message with number call/ text in morning I’ll be in the area and headed to DMS afterwords.

denzukoVintage Computer Chairperson Please let me know where to store them!

I got to move a few things out of the museum to clean up. Think we could swing by to get the donation and those items that need to be moved out of the museum while on the way to VCC secured storage?

im not clear on what you need me to do? check your messages

Any 8" or CPM software? I would be interested in that if Vintage has no interest in it.

I could also pick up the software Tuesday or Wednesday if needed.

Hey Paul
Walter has 3x 8" Shugart drives and some disks.
PM me if you’re interested.
Art

Sorry no 8" except one beaten up to hold up as example of an 8 inch floppy. And no CPM, long gone with Dimension 68000.
If you are talking about all of the software in this message stream, I can make Tuesday work out to 1 or 2:00 PM I have to leave. Wednesday is open so far daytime or evening.
Mike Firth

Might be able to do Wednesday

I can pick up the software after work today if there’s a place at DMS to drop it off. Let me know here or via PM what time and where to pick up

Go ahead and drop it off in the museum area I have classes throughout this week so I’ll be able to pick them up from the space along with a few other donations that I discovered last night.

I remember that machine. Expansion cards can be plugged into it to run CP/M and Apple II programs.

Thanks for continuing to think of us.

Actually now that I think of it, my original IBM PC also met that description. I had a QuadLink card to run Apple programs and a Z-80 board for CP/M. I also had the XT/370 set which I never got working because I was not able to find the software to go with it.
