Not so excellent Maker!

Material in the photo has been in place since at least 4:30 a.m. per another shop user.

Pretty inconsiderate in general to leave a stack of material limiting access in an already crowded shop.

The other thought that occurs to me is that putting 100+ pounds of material on a 12 ish inch platform roughly 24 inches above ground might present a safety hazard.

Anyone know this maker?

I think somebody posted earlier that they were making new spoilboards for the CNC. This might be that project. Still probably not a great place to leave them.

Yup

These are new spoil boards for the Multicam. It is an excellent maker, volunteering to make the boards and seal the edges.

Might not be the best stand for letting them dry but let’s take a look and see.

Everything is a safety hazard. Side note, ppl well above 100lb routinely sit on stools with no ill effect.

I think it’s not so much the weight as the quantity of material that’s unsupported and potentially bump-able.

And it blocks a hasty exit if one was required.

Yea but dynamic weight and static weight at different if a person falls their weight shift as they brace for the fall so you really only get 15lbs of weight involved in the impact where as 100lbs it wood doesn’t and you get full weight on someone’s most likely non steel toed foot

I was using the Multicam and had to squeeze between that stool and the machine multiple times. Every time, the rough edges of the material grabbed my shirt and the whole shebang started rocking and teetering. The problem wasn’t the stool or even the instability - it was the location. Just a foot toward the door would have been a better location.
