This is not acceptable. If this is your mess, I suggest you apologize to the membership and those members who cleaned it up on your behalf.
For everyone else, if you see someone about to make a mistake like this person did, please kindly remind them to clean up.
Edit: The member responsible for this mess has apologized and will make a better effort going forward to keep the space clean. I consider the issue closed.
