No Powder Coating at the Maker Space

I know I will not like the answers so I’m not really asking any questions. I waited a couple of days but nothing has changed. Powdercoating is effectively shut down. For some reason, there is a pallet of items blocking the oven door not to mention there is no room for the coating rack to roll to the oven. Because it’s on a pallet it had to be deliberately placed and somehow the fact that it completely shuts down powder coating was just not considered. Normally, I would have just grabbed the pallet jack and, comedian that I am, moved the offending pallet to a hidden location that future generations of Makerspace member would have discovered while digging. However, I don’t feel right about touching other people’s stuff and I’m currently wearing a leg brace so that was a non-starter. I’m sure this happens to Woodworking, Creative Arts, Sewing, Animatronics, Ceramics, Laser, etc. all the time. Anyway, there is no powder coating at the space. Just FYI

I’ll be in tomorrow morning to take a look at what it is. If it’s actively impeding the use of equipment then it generally shouldn’t be there. I’ll see if I can’t find where it belongs and put it there.

I fixed it.
Took 5 minutes.

Thank you.

As with the space behind the plasma cutter for the rollout tray, it’d be great to use yellow tape to mark the floor to show the space that should not be blocked.

If something ends up on that space, it’s in peril and should be able to be freely moved by anyone.

I can take up this project if given the green light.

btw, do we have any yellow tape? :stuck_out_tongue:

That might be a question for @Garfield. I can take a look in the logistics closet later tonight. So long as the tape isn’t permanent I don’t think that’d be an issue. No permanent tape because once laser moves then so will powder coating.
