No personal mail should be sent to DMS

Every week in finance we get mail addressed to people not on the Board of Directors or Committee Chairs.

Often these are junk mail but occasionally they are checks or invoices. One invoice came in for ~$1500 for a Bart Payne, does anyone know this person?

We had a Bart Payne visit us on June 4 this year, but I don’t have record of him joining. I have his email if you need it.

Somebody was working on the stuff he ordered (3 boxes worth) back in the workshop by Jewelry the last couple of days. Maybe a slightly different name?

Is there any possibly that a “Bart Payne” can order merchandise, have it shipped to DMS and legally stick us with the bill? If so, we need to catch this one before any video ages off the server.

No.

Yes. I would concede not legally but it still makes it a PITA.

Yes to no, there’s no legal liability? I completely agree.
