NFC + Bluetooth Padlock

Doesn’t work with RFID so no solution to the RFID locker situation though, maybe if we used old school lockers this would be useful.

Forgive my ignorance, but isn’t NFC pretty much is the same thing as RFID; they both boil down to an information exchange over a radio frequency…
In fact, as I understand, if the RFID scanner is in the right frequency range, NFC devices can be used for the exchange, which is what happens when you “touch” your smartphone to pay with Google Wallet at POS terminals, for example.
I have seen more than one example of smartphone NFC being used to duplicate RFID cards for access, if the RFID system is in the right range. I’ll see if I can find an example again…

That lock looks pretty flimsy…I wouldn’t trust it…and it may be as easy to shim as a master combo lock…
