the order for the sherline accessories are in and have been inventoried. the box did break open in transit. Looks like we lost the extra live center for the 2nd lathe. everything else is accounted for. There is no need to even complain to UPS as that’s a black hole who will just blame it on improper packaging.
@Photomancer - the new mill stuff looks good. the paperwork is mainly assembly instructions and are in the little cabinet, 2nd drawer down. there is a little bit of usage info in them. I’ll add some slides to my lathe class after I have a chance to try out the knurling tool and radius tool and can then schedule a class.
Spare parts, and things for the 2nd lathe are in the orange tool box in the teacher’s cabinet.
@wandrson - the turners cube modified boring bars are also in that orange tool box until you’re ready for them.
Cheers!
If you have the box, take a photo and I’ll send to Sherline letting them know that’s how it arrived and there was a loss.
sorry, I had already cut it up for disposal.
I mean, they’re not wrong.
FYI, the guy who pays the shipping company for the shipping is the only person who can request a refund of shipping fees. Unless we bought this stuff FOB their dock and shipped it on our account, Sheriline is the only people who can file a claim.
and their answer will always be Improper packaging. After 8 years with the evil empire, I can’t think of a single instance were we won that argument. In fact the only shipment they ever paid for was one where they lost the entire truck to a flood.
You lived in Russia?
Much worse.
I worked for Tandy leather.
Well, at leas that explains your impressive leather-working and stamping/embossing (or whatever it’s called) talent.
