New member interested in getting started

Hello, I’m a new member and am interested in learning 3d printing. What do I need to learn before requesting training on any of the machines? Any suggestions on what software to start with and is it available on the computers in the main area or should I look at getting it on my home computer?

(We also offer some in-person stuff, and the wonderful folks in 3D fab tend to be helpful, but getting the online content under your belt is a great start)
