New here! Looking to get certified on sewing machines

Hi all! My name is Ida, I just joined the maker space (thanks to my woodworking boyfriend) and I’m hoping to get certified for all of the sewing machines - particularly the embroidery machines.
I’m a textile/apparel designer by trade so most of the machines are second nature to me, I just want to make sure I’m following all of the rules that might be in place!

I’m still getting accustomed to how things work around here so if anyone has any tips, I’d greatly appreciate them :slight_smile: hope to get to know all of you soon!

We’re having a Sewing SIG meeting Tuesday 11/24 7 pm. Stop by then. It’ll probably be visible on the Calendar by tomorrow.

I’ll be there tomorrow sewing and doing embroidery on some handkerchiefs I can show you how to use the Viking

I work until 6pm, but I’m available anytime after 6:30ish
