I have! It works well if you have the time to bend out some copper wire for it. The main recommendation I have is make sure you’re using some chunky copper compared to what you’re doing as it’s going to be carrying all of the heat that the iron tip would be normally carrying.
That, and a really beefy temperature controlled iron. Probably 80 - 150 W
