Hi I’m certified to use the car lift but I just got a new car do I have to retake the entire class or can I just have someone double check my block placement?
If you’re not sure weather the car is correctly situated, it might be worth a refresher course specially with ours having drive on pads, makes placement a lot easier than the traditional arms
I believe I can get it situated no problem. But during the class they said that it was specific to our car. I just wanted to make sure I’m not breaking any rules because my time is limited so I would rather avoid taking the entire class again if possible. I only took it 2 months ago
You do not need to take the class again.
The class requires you bring a car so you can learn on it and because you’re supposed to be working on your own car in our bays rather than someone else’s in anyway
So the positioning was specific to that car but the overall training on how to properly position the weight and load correctly is universal, but with lifts since the outcome if not supported correctly is the very least 10s of k dollars damage and at the most serious injury to someone, if you’re not 100% confident that you’ve got it supported correctly a couple hour class compared to the 2 alternatives listed above is the most convenient
Agreed thank you. It is a very similar car but if I’m not 100% sure I definitely will take the class again thank you
It’s not that you’ll need the class again, but someone may be able to help you find the best way to balance the new vehicle.
