Need to sharpen or replace the blade on the button maker

The blade with the adjustable size isnt cutting through paper very well. We may need to replace it or if someone knows how, sharpen it.

Did you check it for scunge? I’ve noticed most of the time when a blade is dull in CA it’s because people get their gloop on it and don’t clean them off

Nope goop from the visible eye. Its a dull blade unfortunately.

Www.americanbuttoncompany.com I think. It’s in Plano but they charge for shipping regardless. They are inexpensive. We’ve replaced the blade before.

We are using the die cutters for the 1" & 2.25" buttons.

@artnerdray do you have a need for different size? That one is quite adjustable.

I don’t actually need anything specific. I wasn’t the person trying to make buttons.Just trying to help and get the word out.

@mreynolds

We can chuck the old blades on a drill press or lathe and sharpen them if you wish.
