Axel and I moved to Baton Rouge in 2020, and we miss DMS! There is no Makerspace here, but the local library system is trying to create something. The local libraries have Cricut machines, 3-D printers, some sublimation machines, and a tiny CNC router (it’s about 12" x 12").
And my favorite part -a FUSION M2 40 Laser System!. It’s been more than 3 years since I got badged on our (DMS) lasers.
I know there are so many resources on the laser and the software (BR is using CorelDraw) but I can’t remember how to access them.
The goal is for this to become a community-supported MakerSpace, run by volunteers. And here in BR, thanks to my very happy experiences at DMS I’m considered an “expert” volunteer! How can I get access to the DMS training videos and information? I’d be happy to pay for some sort of remote membership just to have access to the collective wisdom.
