Need help with zipper replacement!

Can anyone help me repair/replace the zipper in my hoodie? It came rusted shut.

Of course will pay! Thanks! 214-814-0826

I would consult a dry cleaner or tailor shop.
Zippers aren’t fun to deal with. Zippers in finished garments are even less fun to deal with.

I have repaired a few broken or lost pulls with the zipper rescue kits, about $10 on Amazon. You just need a set of pliers. If it is just rusted shut you might try some sewing machine oil which is supposedly stainless.

This is mineral oil in almost all cases. You are correct that it does not stain. When it isn’t mineral oil, it’s a very pure silicon oil (longer lasting, “dryer” lubricant). It also does not stain.

@Jeff_Moore thanks for the heads up on zipper rescue kits! That’s the best option to try first.

Thanks for the input!! It did cost me $18 for the full repair kit on Amazon. But hooray! It’s fixed!

I would’ve charged you more that than to replace it. Zippers are full of suck!

It really wasn’t bad at all. The actual zipper track was fine. It was the end piece and pull that needed replacing!
