I opened KISSlicer and received error message on my file. I created my initial image files in .ai, converted to .svg using InkScape, then imported into TinkerCAD. Exported as .stl file after tweaking it. File opened in KISSlicer fine, but with the following errors.
Is there a resource I can use to identify, fix, and know what is causing these errors? I’ve looked online and found things on KISSlicer, but not the errors yet.
Let’s tag @Team_3D_Fab . You’d think that the relevant folks would read their area regularly, but most of them are so swamped that they don’t check the area regularly. When we tag them, it puts that little … blue? dot up by their name, and also sends them an email note that they’ve been tagged.
Thanks so much Beth. How do I tag someone? I swear, you know everything about almost all these departments. LOL. There is also an error from the printer I need to report. I just saw it. It heated up, then stopped.
I just tagged them. For any department, there’s a team. 3D Fab is easy, because it comes up at the top of the alphabet once you’ve typed at (@) team_ . So if I were tagging Creative Arts, I’d have to type at team_c and I might see the team creative arts to click on, or I might have to add “r” before I saw the right group to tag. It also works for specific people if you know their handle. @dryad2b tags me, for instance.
This is more about me having used Talk for several years, and knowing how Talk works. And! how the average person (especially those who’ve taken on a role) read and interact with Talk.
Hey, so if you’ve got a little pop-up window that is showing the whole TRIANGLE/EDGE errors, that’s just a color-code guide. The slicer is able to compensate for almost all of those errors, so the only thing you need to watch out for is if there are any of those colors on the model itself that’s loaded in, and even then the only one that actually causes serious problems is the red triangles face inwards error.
As long as your model isn’t covered in big red chunks, it should slice just fine.
