Hey, if anyone is working on any specifically hardwood projects, I could use some of your sawdust on a project of mine. I don’t need a ton of it, just a small bag full.
I would be hanging around the wood lathes if I were you.

I have plenty of mesquite dust. Mostly fine texture from 320 grit sanding.
I could bring some by and leave it in your box if you have one.
I don’t have a box, but if you leave it in the jewelry area on the small wooden workbench with all the drawers with a note it would be greatly appreciated!
I am coming by tonight. It will be in a plastic container that instant coffee came from.
Tasters Choice but no label on it. If you want more I have about 2 gallons.

I have lots of balsa dust. Balsa is technically a hardwood.

I left it on top of the wooden boxes on the wall on the right as you come in.
A plastic container with a brown top. It says mesquite 80 grit but the grit is actually finer.

Nothing spectacular, just to put under an opal that was cut very unevenly on the bottom. Most old Navajo turquoise jewelery uses this technique to cushion the stones or raise them in their settings.

And I left some Bodark/Bois D’arc dust in the jewellery area a couple of hours ago as well. Very bright yellow (for now, in a clear 5 finger plastic glove with some tape on it to seal it. I forget exactly where I left it, or I’d tell you 
Any unused Bois d’arc/ Osage you might ask the fiber people about. It makes a natural dye for fabric.

I found yours, thank you! I think it will work well, and it sure is a nice color, it’s kind of a shame you won’t be able to see it under the stone lol.

Yeah if you ever have more bois d’arc dust or smaller chips, I’d be interested. Gorgeous for natural dyeing

I do some work with Bois d’arc. Do you have a box in the break room?
I am not sure when I will have some but I know I will eventually.
There is a lady who owns a locksmith shop here in Denton that does weaving from scratch. She is a wizard at it. Goes to New Mexico every year and sells out all she makes. She basically just makes yarn.

I have some 100% Cherry BBQ pellets that are basically made from compressed saw dust… just add water and they’ll puff up and fall apart. It’s a nice dark wood like Mesquite.

Jeff Bob gave me some bois d’arc last month. I had planned to saw some of it up this weekend. I’ll collect it for you if I do. It is still a little green if that matters.
