I have been gifted a laptop, it works except it was dropped on its corner and now the screen hinge screws have broken from their plastic roots.
Does anyone know what kind of resin I could use to strongly adhere the brass screw mount thingies back into place??
Here is where it broke. You can see where the brass mounting thingies used to sit.

I’ve used this to fix a busted case for a wireless microphone receiver and I know someone has also used this to fix a CRT mount on a Vectrex. Can’t remember if that was @mrcity, but think it was.

I agree with Raymond, go with an epoxy, this stuff adheres great and will have great strength. If possible build up the area as much as possible so that flexing does not pop it off. Make sure to scuff up the area with sand paper for good grip.
I’ve personally never used this brand but if made for repairing computers it likely has good adhesion properties for the types of plastics used in cases.
Let me know how it works, have a small chipped out corner on mine.

To amplify on @raymond 's great suggestion - I see that this epoxy is a paste epoxy (i.e., most likely has filler in it). This is a good thing. If you use an epoxy that is more liquid (runny) it wouldn’t adequately fill the gaps. You will get a much better bond with a paste epoxy like this.
