Anyone know of a good metal supply in the north dallas area?
How much do you need & what thickness? Discount steel in Saginaw, Fulton supply in Denton, Metal supermarket, Norton steel, Jorgensen. But if you only need a little bit I have some.
I need quite a bit. Around 70’ total. Thanks for the list of retailers. I will check em out tomorrow!
Thickness I’m looking for 1/8"
Try Commerce Steel off of Denton Drive. They are close to the Makerspace and their prices are fair.
Online metals has local pickup near Colleyville, iirc.
I have bought a lot of steel from commerce. I have always found them good to deal with. Just no convenient hours. I still make it in a couple of times a year though.
Metals4U is where I went last time to get 1/2" alu stock, I’m sure they have 2".
Metals4U, Inc.

I don’t have any experience with them, but Texas Metal Industries has a store in Mesquite on US 80 at Galloway.
Their website price is $49.90 for 20’ of 2"x2" 11 gauge:
@James_Koffeman told me about http://coloradorivercomponents.com/ in Alvarado . They supply manufacturers of metal building. the prices look great and are online. James bought the steel for his cart there.
Those are excellent prices. This might be where I get my material to build a trailer (next project).
it might be best to call… I later noticed the pdf was dated 2014
Still, James did get a lot of square for cheap.
