I give up.
How do we n00bs get access to edit Dallas Makerspace , as we are encouraged repeatedly to so do, beginning with the “new member 411”?
I cannot log in there with either the creds that let me in here or to the billing portal…
Also, can’t find a link to let you create a new account.
Almost feels like it’s been antiquated to read-only, but I can’t find that in print…
Thank you!
It’s been a long time since I got my login credentials, and I don’t remember how I got them. However, I think the wiki uses a different login system than the forum does, and the accounts are not linked. I happen to have the same user name on both, but I don’t have to.

The wiki uses the same login as the billing system. If you are unable to login, please try resetting your paid using the “lost password” link.
Have done several times, but no love on logging on to the wiki. I can log in to billing system, no problem. In fact, I can be logged on to the billing system, browse the wiki, and still see “log in” in the corner. Clicking the login link on the wiki and re-entering the same creds that allow me into the bill space, gets me a “Login error. Incorrect password was entered” message.
In fact, just to be sure, I just tried it again. Same result. I’m logged in to and can browse the billing portal, but the same creds get rejected on the wiki.
Thank you for the input!
At one point, the LDAP login for one of them was case sensitive on the username. I thought that got fixed, but not absolutely positive. You might try making sure you’re using the “correct” capitalization on the username?
Somehow @jast didn’t have an LDAP account. I’ve got it fixed now.
That did it!
Thank you so much!
A couple of things I might suggest from this experience, and maybe there is a page where this is expelicitly stated, but I did not find it whilst searching:
-
It should be stated somewhere on both pages: The “billing portal” and the “wiki portal” are the same credentials (even though “billing” appears to REQUIRE your email addy as a the user name, whereas I think the wiki will take either)
-
Whom to contact if you have this question. I assume this would have been best handled by sending an email to [email protected] but I’m not really sure…
Thank you so much for the help!
If you are going to the billing system via the link on the website, it prompts you for your username, not the e-mail, as this is through MakerManager. I think the only way you get prompted for the e-mail is if you directly go to the billing system, bypassing MakerManager.
The main website has contact info at the bottom of the page. Additionally, all e-mails from the billing system originate from [email protected] which when replied to will open a trouble ticket.
Yeah, but it “feels odd” to open a trouble ticket for “the billing system” when you’re not having a problem with billing…
