From MultiCam’s CEO:
In addition to our MultiShield, we are in need of additional Seamstress, Tailors or Industrial sewers in the DFW metroplex that can sew on sleeves and cuffs to assist our efforts making protective clothing for Healthcare workers battling Covid-19. We are producing at a great pace but we need additional talent to produce 5K-10,000 a week. We can courier to you and pick up if necessary or you can come set up with us in the factory with your machine. Please reach out to my team at: [email protected] #multicam #celero #multicamusa Sincerely, David J Morse Chairman/CEO MultiCam Inc. [email protected]

I sent an inquiry for more info on this. Here’s what I got back:
Good morning…
We are looking for people to sew sleeves on gowns for doctors and nurses in the DFW area.
They can work from home
$3.00 per gown
We are looking to start Thursday and will provide all materials needed
Also, putting together instructions on what needs to be done
Let me know if you have any other questions
So, it isn’t a volunteer undertaking - more in the realm of piecework. But if you are proficient with a sewing machine, have one at home and need a little pocket money, this could be the perfect work-from-home job that also fills a need in the community.

Update from another employee at Multicam -
They are hoping for people who can do overlocking. So it’s SERGER TIME!
edit - paging @Hardsuit - do you guys know serger owners who want some $$$? They have 10,000 gowns to sew. At $3.00 a pop, won’t make anybody rich, but…
