Multi-Craft Tech Job Opportunity

My employer (F-Wave in Burleson, TX, south of Fort Worth) is looking for a maintenance tech. I will try to add the official job description once they have it, but for now, here are some details. You can private message me for more info.

Minimum Requirements -
 High school diploma or equivalent.
 Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance environment
 Experience performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance work.
 Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude required, as well as basic experience with electrical controls and PLC
 Ability to cut and weld, as well as use basic shop machining equipment.
 Excellent troubleshooting skills.
 Very detail oriented and able to perform a diverse range of tasks.
 Operate a forklift
 Work 12 hour shifts on either days or nights.
 Effective PC skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and various CMMS systems
 Additional skills preferred: good knowledge of industrial HVAC

Role & Responsibilities –
 Must work in a safe manner to avoid injury to self and co-workers.
 Provide routine troubleshooting assistance on mechanical and electrical issues.
 Conduct routine condition based audits of manufacturing equipment and report findings.
 Perform corrective repairs to equipment during unplanned downtime events.
 Plan and execute work during planned downtime events.
 Recommend and execute modifications necessary to improve equipment efficiency and uptime.
 Fabricate parts or fixtures that will go into the manufacturing process.
 Demonstrate a high sense of urgency to correct safety and operational issues.
 Actively participate in efforts to develop safety and maintenance management systems.
 Assist Production, Engineering, and Leadership teams as needed during ongoing operations.

Must be willing to work any shift.

What’s the pay look like?

I am told the pay range will be in the Job Description that I hope to post in the next week or so. Sorry, I don’t have that yet.

If this were an IT job, the description would look like this.

Must have PhD in Computer Science
Must be able to work any shift
Must be on call every other week
Must have 38 years of experience in global security
Must be able to assist developers code when needed
Must be people pleaser
Must have CISSP CCIE MCSE RHCE and A+ certs

Salary dependent upon fit with culture.

Pay band 9.58/hr to 14.78/hr for the right candidate.

You forgot H1-B visa

Heh…I did forget H1 Visa. I can’t decide whether this IT position would be willing to sponsor a visa (indentured servitude) or should it be “Must be legal to work in the US”.

The pay was the given away.

That would also require ‘approval from the offshore team’, whose very souls the hiring manager all but owns as a simple means of letting the manager hire whoever they want.
