Missing creation from glazed shelf

I came in today to pick up two finished pieces from the glazed shelf and I was only able to locate one. What is the solution for other people possibly taking your creations? Is there anything put in place to avoid this from happening? This is the second time I’ve experienced this issue.

Do you know how long they would have been on the shelf?

I glazed two pieces on Saturday morning. Picked up today but only found one.

Did you see both of them in the kiln pictures?

Where are the pictures posted?

Because there’s a reasonable chance that your 2nd piece is actually in the kiln that’s currently in progress. Just because they were glazed at the same time doesn’t mean that they went into the kiln together.

However, if you see it in the last set of glaze pictures, then you might check on the very top of the finished shelves.

I checked the top shelf and it wasn’t there. I’ll just start making a distinctive mark on the pieces I create moving forward, and hopefully that will help.

Good idea. Most makers have a makers mark. And again, always keep an eye on talk for the ceramics kiln thread because we show what has come out of the kiln. The secone piece is probably in the kiln.
