I think you mean injury trap, the guy survived! Motorcycles on the other hand do deserve the “death trap” Just look at the fatality rate based on miles traveled or vehicles registered.

Found a stat on Smart car death rates.

It shows that the death rate is higher at 36 than the average of all 2011 vehicles of 28. But, among the 3 categories of “Mini Cars,” The Smart is among the best performing.

That is why I added the other vehicle specific stats. The smart car ranks on the high side of the average. Rather than as you suggest a death trap. Just check the numbers compare to a selection of 4 door midsize vehicles. The Smart Car’s death rate is comparable. This again challenges your stance of it being a death trap and far worse than other cars.
I believe he sold it to an unsuspecting third party.
You’re comparing something that I’m not even arguing. I called it a death-trap and you’re fixated on that. The problem as I stated is lack of crumple zones and the amount of energy transferred into the human body.
