Migrating to Windows 10

I’ve built a new computer and am in the process of moving my software to it (Windows 7 to Windows 10). My biggest problem so far is that I’m currently using “Windows Live Mail” and it’s no longer available. So I looking for a new email program.

I need something

  1. simple and lets my put email into folders
  2. Keeps the info for my accounts
  3. Lets me import my existing folder and contacts
  4. Free

Possible choices would be the new Microsoft email program, Thunderbird and Mailbird.

Any suggestions?

If you want the open source solution, I’d recommend Thunderbird for the desktop/laptop, and K-9 mail client for the android phone.

Surrender to office 365 and get free(snark) outlook!

FOSS or bust for me, but I don’t have quarrels with others who choose differently.

I like Mailbird for my email accounts. I have multiple accounts set up on it.

Thunderbird for my non-domain email accounts.

Second for thunderbird or better yet just use gmail:

In a pinch (and microsoft only houses) just go with outlook or live 365.

of course if one really wants, they could just use OpenXP or Pegasus Mail to support fidonet, uucp, and usenet as well.

yes, I know… fido/usenet/… may not be the new sexy but they’re darknets and still active for regular use
