Microwave 2.0 Glass fusing

3 classes are on the calendar - float glass is regular window pane glass.

We will be discussing float glass characteristics and fusing options. Each student will complete 2 styles of pendants. Pendants will be available to pickup after they have cooled.

We will have a short microwave fusing Q&A session at the end of this class if you need advice or trouble shooting, I will be happy to address your questions , or concerns in this class.

No Prerequisite required since we will be reviewing the microwave fusing process. if you are not currently cleared for the microwave fusing you will be after this class.

13 yrs and up may register for class, with a parent that is registered separately - Parent must do all glass cutting and handling of the microwave kiln.

It says that goggles are required. Does Glassworking have goggles, or do people need to bring their own?

We have a nice supply of goggles. Folks are always welcome to bring their own. It’s just for the cutting, so you don’t need special lenses.

Do they have to be goggles or can they be safety glasses?

Ours are the safety glasses with sides. They fit over glasses. I mis-named them…
