Can anyone spare a few mins to show me how to use this so I can get signed off on it? May as well get signed off on the foot shear as well. **Full disclosure - I made a replacement cosmetic “skid plate” on the plasma cam then ran it through the slip roller… it never dawned on me until now that training might be required for the slip roll as well - just looked at wiki tools and didn’t see the slip roll on there - so not sure if I screwed up or not? I knew the brake press required training so didn’t use it, but after trying to bend some 90’s at home with a torch, angle iron and hammer - I’d much prefer having access to the press. Any assistance would be much appreciated - (I’ll be @ DMS tonight for the lift class on the outside chance someone already has plans to be there and can run through it real quick with me). Thanks again!!
I can teach you before/after the lift class. My understanding is that training isn’t specifically required, just don’t mess it up
Sweet! Do you mean mess up my skid plate or the equipment? - kidding. Thank you Luke!!!
I was under the impression that the “3” - brake, roller, shear required a class - I took mine from TBJK ages ago.
I could be wrong - wouldn’t be the first time…
I could be wrong too, Chuck taught me though, either way we’ll clear you on it tonight lol
Correct, training is not required currently. There is training documentation on the committee drive, that I put together. You need to keep in mind the max thickness. 16 gauge sheet metal. 20 gauge stainless. The roller, 3” is the minimum diameter you can get.
Found the documentation, great stuff. I’ll print it out tonight!
If you’re talking about the manual for the slip roll, then I know you say this ironically as I went through all 5 pages of it with a fine tooth comb before using it…
I’ll be there tonight for the lift class too. Could I tag along for the show & tell on the brake? Thx.
Of course, the more the merrier
Keep in mind that the brake is not a “Press Break” those have much greater capacities.
