Where did we order the yellow handle metal shears from? I really like them and I want a pair for myself! I have some from Michaels and they are no where near as good a quality or as useful.

I need something for spring steel strips. I do not need it to cut through, but a tool durable enough to make a deep nick so that a couple of bends with pliers will break it.
Spring steel is hardened material. Most sheers will not handle cutting it for long, particularly if they are made with normal hardened steel. For spring steel you will want to find some high speed steel sheers.

Those were donated so I don’t know from where they came. Have you looked at a hardware store? I have one made by EuroTool I bought off Amazon and really like it, very sturdy and the handle is longer for more leverage.

If these are what you are referring to, the handle color indicates the ‘style’ of cut. They come in left, right, and straight cutting versios which do a slightly better job for those cutting directions then the ‘compound’ ones. Either way they are about $20 and you can purchase them from most local hardware and home improvement stores as well as online.
