Ahh, then you might be better off with acme thread.
I’ll add to that, we don’t currently have insert tooling for Acme threads. You could theoretically grind a tool though.

Sandvik and Kennametal Tech Reps normally encourage their customers to contact them for advice regarding the best cutter solution for a specific project.
Another trick if the thread length needs to be a specific dimension is to put the cutter upside down on the back-side of the work and thread from the headstock to the tailstock.
